Clandestine Blaze/Night Of The Unholy Flames/Northern Heritage/2000 CD Review

Clandestine Blaze are a band from Finland that plays a very raw and primitive form of unholy black metal and this is a review of their 2000 album "Night Of The Unholy Flames" which was released by Northern Heritage.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown in at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast raw and primitive sounding black metal riffs and there are little to no lead guitars or solos present on this recording.

Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams with some deep growls being thrown in at times, while the lyrics cover Satanism, Darkness and Death with one song being written in Finish, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion this was a great album from Clandestine Blaze and if you are a fan of raw and primitive sounding unholy black metal, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Cross Of Black Steel" "Night Of The Unholy Flames" and "Aikakausi On Lyhyt". RECOMMENDED BUY.
