Welter In Thy Blood/The Transference of Misery/Todesstunde/2009 Record Review

Welter In Thy Blood are a band from California that has had their previous albums reviewed in this zine with a musical style that combines depressive black metal, funeral doom and noise together and this is a review of their 2009 album "The Transference Of Misery" which was released by Todesstunde.

Drums are all slow playing with no fast drumming or blast beats, while the noise effects bring a very dark and avant garde sound to the music as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars are slow riffs that combine depressive black metal with funeral doom and there are no guitar solos or leads present on the music but the music is still very experimental.

Vocals are mostly high pitched distorted sounding depressive black metal screams mixed in with a great amount of spoken word parts, while the lyrics cover dark, ritualistic and occult themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion this is another great album from Welter In Thy Blood and if you are a fan of experimental black/funeral doom metal you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Transferance Of Misery" and "Mortification Of The Flesh"> RECOMMENDED BUY.
