Death.Void.Terror. Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

Death. Void. Terror. is not a band in the conventional sense of a group of musicians that meets to rehearse and writes music together. It exists solely as a vessel to radiate the eternal hostility of the Great Monolith.

2.You have your first album coming out in March, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording?

The sounds contained on this recording should not be considered music or in any way adhering to a particular sound aesthetic. Rather, these recordings represent unconscious expression in its most pure form. We are not concerned with the whimsical nature of people and their need to categorize everything in easily digestible and comprehensible terms. As such, it would be an error to define these recordings in such a way.

3.I have heard that you do not refer to the 2 tracks on the album as songs, would you consider them to be rituals?

The careful process during which these recordings were made may be considered ritualistic in nature. However, it would be wrong to associate them or anything that is created by Death. Void. Terror. with what is currently seen as being occult from a religious or similarly humanist perspective. We have no interest in such socially acceptable and trivial pursuits.

4.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects you explore with your music?

We serve as vessels for the Great Monolith. There is no exploration in the sense of subjectively pursued development. There are no topics.

5.A lot of your music reminds me of 'Abruptum' but very different at the same time, would you day this band was an an influence on your music?

The Great Monolith is the sole inspiration of Death. Void. Terror. There is no other. Since influence would require active thought, any influence outside of what is received from the Great Monolith is not possible. Death. Void. Terror. has nothing to do with conscious creation, rendering the individual, active thoughts of practitioners mute.

6.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Death.Void.Terror'?

See above. There is no meaning, as meaning would imply a subjectively pursued purpose. Any such notion is rendered obsolete through the unconscious expression of practitioners.

7.In what parts of the world are the band members located at?

There is no origin.

8.Other than what 'Iron Bonehead' has posted online there is not much information on the band and there are no social networks or metal archives page, do you prefer to be hidden from the general public?

Death. Void. Terror. is affiliated with the Helvetic Underground Committee. There is no further pursuit of accessibility.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black metal or ritualistic music?

This is not something we are aware of.

9.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

Just as there is no origin, there is no order. There is no preconceived notion of direction in unconscious expression, as this would be contradictory.

10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Subjective preferences of individual practitioners have no influence on Death. Void. Terror. This is drawn solely from the Great Monolith and dissociated from the individual practitioners.

11.Can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in Occultism?

Death. Void. Terror. has no interest in what is considered occult from a humanist-religious perspective, as the word and associated practices are related to something that is hidden or secret. Quite the contrary, in fact, the Great Monolith is neither hidden nor secret. Rather, when it is present it is all consuming. This consumption is what Death. Void. Terror. seeks to lay bare.

12.Can you tell us a little bit more about the image you bring out in your album art work?

It is meant to be seen rather than spoken of.

13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

No origin. No order. No thought. Death. Void. Terror.
